Fabric Information - PUL

Care Instructions:

  1. Washing: Machine wash in warm water on a gentle cycle using mild detergent. Avoid fabric softeners and bleach, as they can damage the waterproof layer.
  2. Drying: Tumble dry on low heat or air dry. Avoid high heat, as it can delaminate the waterproof coating.
  3. Ironing: Do not iron directly on the PUL fabric. If needed, use a low heat setting and place a pressing cloth between the fabric and the iron.
  4. Storage: Store in a cool, dry place, and avoid folding sharply to prevent creases in the waterproof layer.

Use Instructions:

  • Waterproof Projects: Ideal for items needing waterproof properties such as cloth nappies, wet bags, and reusable sanitary products.
  • Cutting: Use sharp scissors or a rotary cutter for clean edges.
  • Sewing: Use a ballpoint needle to prevent snagging and a Teflon presser foot or walking foot to help the fabric glide smoothly under the machine.
  • Seam Finishing: Consider using a zigzag stitch or overlocking to prevent fraying.

By following these care and use guidelines, your PUL fabric projects will remain durable, functional, and maintain their waterproof properties.
